Casino Tips to Win

Some Poker Cheats – Tips That Will Help You Win

It does not really take a rocket scientist to understand the rules of play when it comes to poker. You just have to understand the basic rules of play, and know which hands to actually set down during the game. This poker cheat sheet is designed to help you understand some of the most basic principles of the poker in general, and to help you develop your strategies.

After all, a card player is not defined by the amount he or she plunks at the table, but rather by the strategies he or she uses to win round after round.

Poker Cheat Sheet # 1: Learn The Game First And You Will Know The Lingo

It’s not enough these days to say that you are going to play poker at an online casino. There are so many variations now to this card game that it is quite simple to get lost in “poker speech.” So, for clarification purposes, poker is poker is poker … except when people say video poker (which is really a computer game / slot machine); and Red Dog Poker (which is more similar to the game of Blackjack than anything else.)

All other variations like Five Card Draw, Omaha, Primero, Seven Card Stud, Texas Hold’em and Three-Card Brag have the same winning principle: you need 5 cards to lay out a (hopefully!) winning hand.

Poker Cheat Sheet # 2: Know When To Fold And When To Go With Gut Instinct

Some of the most “notorious” card players believe in 2 things: luck and their gut instincts. Although these seem innocuous enough, you as a beginner should remember that poker is a betting game; and luck may turn sour oh-so-quickly; and your gut instinct may just be a gas build-up over the taco you had for dinner.

Conservative playing is one way of learning from other players’ triumphs and mistakes. After all, you cannot expect to win all the time, and you certainly do not want to lose all the time. Bet conservatively at the start of the game. If you find your cards less than desirable, fold immediately.

Poker Cheat Sheet # 3: Stop Trying To Figure Out If Your Opponent Is Bluffing!

If you think that your hand has a fighting chance, then you can slowly build up your bets. The other card players on the table are heaping too much money on the table, and you keep wondering whether or not he or she is bluffing.

Instead of wasting your energy figuring out the truth behind those hideous poker faces, concentrate on this one fact: your opponent may not be bluffing at all! And stop bluffing yourself. This risky move (according to stats) has only 1% chance of ever winning.

Poker is all or nothing. If you think your hand will win, then keep it. If not, it would be better to fold while you are ahead.

Poker Cheat Sheet # 4: Know Which Hands To Keep

Indubitably, face cards are the greatest things to get, since there is all likelihood of putting out a winning hand when you have a set. However, one or two or three cards mean absolutely nothing in a game of poker. You need five… always five. So instead of focusing you attention to just the face cards, (which many beginners are prone to do,) think of the 5 cards – the hand, and how it will fare in the game. A straight flush can win over a full house.

A straight can win over a three-of-a-kind. And never discount the power of a high-card hand; that may also be the only thing your opponent has against you.

Poker Variations

Poker rooms in casinos and online poker rooms are a great place to play. But there are other types of poker played in casinos. In online casinos, such as playtech com casinos, there are a few other versions to consider.

In traditional table poker, the player is taking on other players and the house gets a ?rake? or percentage. However, in casino poker, there is a house edge.

Different kinds of poker in casinos

Here are some of the playtech com casino poker games and how they work. Keep in mind these are not really poker games in the traditional sense but casino games.

1) Caribbean: Each player takes on the bank. You ante and get five cards. After you have seen your hand and the banks first card, you can stay in by increasing your stake to twice the original ante, or surrender or fold, giving up your ante.

You have two ways to get money back. If the bank does not have AK or better, your bet is returned. If the banks does have AK or better you win if your hand is better than the bank’s. You get even money on your ante plus odds payoffs for the higher quality of your hand. (Such as 2-1 for two pair, 3-1 for three of a kind, etc.).

If the bank has AK or better and your hand is worse than the bank’s hand, you lose your ante and bet.

2) Casino Hold’em: Play begins with each player making an ante wager. As in real hold ’em, two cards are dealt face down to each player and dealer. The player may examine his own cards. The dealer deal a flop (community cards).

A player must decide to either fold or call. If he calls, he must double the ante. The dealer will then deal two more community cards. The dealer will also turn over his own two cards. Essentially, best hand wins, but the dealer must have at least a pair of fours, otherwise the call bet is a push.

3) Let ’em ride: The player is dealt three cards, the dealer two. The player is trying to get to get any winning poker hand consisting of a pair of 10’s or higher, using all five cards. As in the other games, a player must ante, then decide whether not to continue after getting the three cards.

A player can double the original bet or continue without a raise. After that decision, the dealer’s first card is shown, and again the player can raise or continue. A raise has to double the original bet. The player’s three cards combine with the dealer’s two and any hand of tens or higher, the player wins.

4) Pai Gow: Traditional rules, with two hands, a five-card hand and a two card hand.

5) Poker three: This is just a variation on three card poker.

6) Red dog: A variation on the game acey/deucy where suit does not come into play.

7) Tequila: An interesting twist where the player can bet either on a poker hand or a point total. Four cards, a round of betting, then two more cards.

All of these Playtech com games are unique and fun. But keep in mind the important difference from traditional poker: you are playing the house, not other players.

About Poker

The fish is a poker term for the player who is going to be easiest to take money from. It is said that if you can not spot the fish at your table then you are the fish.

To avoid being instantly marked as the fish make sure not only appear as if this is not your first time in a texas holdem poker room in a casino but that you are there often. Make sure no matter how impressed by the place you are, you appear as if this is just another day playing texas holdem in the casino.

If your skills at texas holdem will not allow you to go unnoticed then pick another game like roulette or blackjack.

Learn the rules before you play

Make sure you know how to play. Do not come into a casino poker room to thinking you will learn Texas Holdem as you play. This is not Uno it is Texas Holdem Poker and played for real money. I promise you that before you learn the game this way you will be broke and homeless.

You should learn to play at home with friends or online in free money poker games against others or against the computer. Then as you improve start to play in online poker rooms for money.

If you were a spy trying to infiltrate into Russia during the cold war the CIA would have you trained on how to speak Russian and the proper idioms and accent as well so that you blend is as a local, well texas holdem has its own language as well and if you want to blend in as an experienced player you have to know the language as a native speaker.

This means understanding what others are saying and being able to use the common expressions correctly in normal conversation. Not laughing at a joke because you did not understand it will make you stand out and some people are bound to notice and figure out you are not all you seem to be.

Do not do as the pros

I am sure most of us have seen texas holdem on ESPN television and have sent he way to professional poker players dress. Many of them are wearing clothes will advertisements for poker related items. These players are being paid to advertise these items because of their high likelihood of being put on the TV.

Some players wear disguises to try and hide their faces from the other players by wearing hats and glasses to hide their eyes. These players know that a small slip up can cost them the chance at winning the million dollar prize, so to make sure they do nt give up any information to another player they try to hide their faces.

You are not playing in the big leagues so to try these things will just make you look stupid since everyone will know you are not a professional player by the fact they do not recognize you. This will then make you stand out and risk you being marked as an inexperienced player or “The Fish”.

Every player at a texas holdem poker table that spots you as the fish will then begin to focus on you till they find your tells, and believe me we all have them. It is just experience that allows some of us to hide them better then others.

Red Dog Poker Game

“Red Dog Poker Game” by LMS Events & Entertainments
Rules of Red Dog Casino Game

A card game Red Dog is similar to the game, “Between the Sheets” which is played on a table equal to the size of the blackjack table with two spots of betting i.e. the “bet” and the ‘raise’ along with using 2 to 6 decks containing 52 playing cards. On each hand only three cards are played from the irrelevant card suit. The game is so simple, hence so popular too.

Objective

An opening bet is placed by a player as well as two cards are dealt by the dealer. The aim of the game includes the probability of betting on the ranking of third card to be falling between the initial two. If it happens, the player wins if not he/she loses.

It is very simple so far. Then, comes in the ‘raise’ bet and it depends upon the “spread”. Spread includes the figures of card values lying between the two original cards. The value constituted by any card from 2-10 at face value, 11 is counted for a jack, 12 for a queen, 13 for a king and 14 for an ace.

For example, suppose a 7 and a 10 is dealt by the dealer. What will be the spread? Since, 7 and 10 involves 8 and 9 in between, the spread will be 2. No spread will be there between the consecutive cards, like 4 and 5, the spread will be 0. That will be referred as a ‘tie’, The hand will be completed and the money will remain kept by the player.

To bet on the spread can be regarded as the interesting part of the Red Dog game. This would be referred as an optional 2nd bet where a player can go for a bonus payout. The odds are set by the casino house depending upon a simple principle: the payout potentials of the payout will be higher as per the narrowness of the spread.

Betting

After the opening of the bet, the cards are placed on the table in facing up position and a marker will be placed by the dealer indicating the difference between the spread and the odds offered by the house on an extra bet i.e. the raise. If no further bets are placed, the original bet will be won by the player at even money if he/she wins the hand.

If the player opts for raising, he/she will be betting at the house odds as printed on the table of Red Dog. If a player wins, he/she will be getting his/her original bet at even money along with the raise bet at the indicated odds. If there becomes a tie between the initial two consecutive cards, the player will keep his bet.

If there will be a pair constituted in the two cards, the betting gets stops, but the player will get paid at the ratio of 11:1, if there made a three of a kind with the third card. Otherwise, the bet of the player will get lost. Finally, there becomes a match between the third card with any of the initial two cards, the player will have lost.

Obviously, all casino games have the potential to make your wildest dreams come true, but I’d just like a bit of an idea about how to advise my friends who would like to hang out and gamble some with me.

Blackjack, Slots, Roulette, Craps, Poker, Keno, Red Dog, Baccarat, etc. What do you think is the ticket?

Card Counting on Yablon/Red Dog ?

Applying Card Counting on the card game called Yablon/In-between or Red Dog ?

They are various card counting methods out there but are mostly used for blackjack only. Is there a card counting system for card game such as Yablon/ In between ?

If there is, which card counting system should i use? (high/low, omega, red seven and etc..) Please help me select the best one out there.

(Yablon is a very simple game. Yablon is a banking game in which two cards are dealt face up, and the player bets on whether a third card will rank between the first two cards. Mostly played in Asia and involve pretty big pool on the table.
Yes, its pretty different comparing Red dog and blackjack.

The problem now is applying the right value on the cards. Ace,King,Queen can be also an advantage and disadvantage for the player

Assuming your opening hand is Ace(1) and King and the number in between is 2,3,4…Q.
If the dealer open up the card Ace or King you are busted.

7,8,9 is assigned 0 for blackjack but in Red Dog it also can be an advantage card assuming if you get Ace or 2 in your opening hand.

Maybe i should ask a mathematician to assign the value for me lol.
I totally agree with you Zadignose. Tracking the middle card are important and should be assign a higher value but tracking other cards are equally important as well.

Let’s assumed that you have (6) and a (K) in your opening hands but the chances of obtaining 7,8,9,10,J,Q are only 6/8 if you did not track A,1,2,3,4,5, 6, K properly.

Assigning value in my opinion can be done but pretty difficult and i doubt it is worth it because it might be a level 3-4 counting difficulty.
